Fountain

My current oil painting.

At the moment I’m waiting a few days for it to dry before I can do any more work on it. Still a long way to go, but the base layers are down and it’s slowly starting to resemble the image in my head. I’m finally feeling good about this painting now that I’ve made some changes to the woman on top of the fountain.

Originally she was going to be holding a bowl above her head but it was looking mediocre at best. Now the fountain looks much more ominous which is necessary for the narrative of this painting.
